Therapeutic Uses :

Almost completely absorbed from G.I. Tract, and bioavailability is not affected by Food or Gastric pH.

Useful in Fungal infections associated with AID or cancer therapy

Effective in numbers of Systemic fungal infection e.g. Candidiasis & Cryptococcosis associated with HIV infections

Also active against Histoplasmosis, Blastomycosis, Sporotrichosis and Ring-Worms

Unique Features :

Vaginal Candidiasis: 150 mg as a SINGLE oral Dose.

Oropharyngeal & Esophageal candidiasis : 200 mg. on the 1^st day, followed by 100 mg. once daily for 2 weeks

Systemic Candida infections : 400 mg./ day

Urinary tract infections & Peritonitis : 50 to 200 mg. / day.

Cryptococcal Meningitis : 400 mg. on 1^st day, followed by 200-400 mg. for 1-12 weeks.

Prophylaxis in Immunocompromised patients : 400 mg. / day
